Overview

The Hagan Scholarship, available nationwide, is a need-based merit scholarship designed to assist recipients in achieving their academic goals and graduating from college without accruing debt, with eligibility requiring applicants to have graduated from a high school situated in the United States.

What to know about Hagan scholarship

Hagan Scholars have attended over 500 colleges and universities located in 48 states. The scholarship is need-base and The intended recipient is a high-achieving goal-driven student having substantial financial need.

Applicants for the Hagan Scholarship Program must ensure that their Adjusted Gross Household Income reported for 2022 Federal Income Tax Purposes does not exceed $100,000.

Through the program, recipients gain access to valuable resources such as free workshops, free Schwab brokerage accounts, and free study abroad opportunities. These offerings provide practical knowledge and life skills that are often overlooked in traditional school curricula.

Furthermore, graduates of the Hagan Scholarship Program who are completing their college education can apply for the Hagan Graduate Scholarship. This additional scholarship is applicable for up to four consecutive semesters, enabling recipients to continue their education and pursue their academic goals beyond undergraduate studies.

Requirements and Eligibility for Hagan scholarship

Read the following requirements before applying for the scholarship program:
  1. Applicants must either be U.S. Citizens or possess a Permanent Resident Card (Green Card).
  2. Eligible applicants must be enrolled in a high school located in the United States, including public, private, charter, magnet, or STEM schools.
  3. Candidates must be part of the high school graduating class.
  4. A minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.50 is required for consideration.
  5. Successful applicants must enroll in an eligible four-year not-for-profit College or University during the first semester following high school graduation.
  6. Recipients must adhere to a four-year graduation schedule in college or complete the equivalent of a four-year degree if enrolled in a professional program.
  7. Recipients are required to work 240 hours between January 1, 2024, and the start of the fall semester in 2024 at their discretion, with work defined as regularly scheduled employment under supervision for compensation, which can be full-time during the summer and/or part-time.
  8. The applicant’s Adjusted Gross Household Income reported for 2022 Federal Income Tax Purposes must not exceed $100,000, with “Household Income” defined as the total income received by all members of a household living under the same roof.
  9. Finalists selected must provide a copy of their FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS).
  10. Applicants must apply for Federal and State grants if they meet the eligibility criteria.
  11. Individuals with a felony conviction are not eligible to apply.

1. After clicking on the Spring Scholarship Application Link, click on “New User” displayed in a Red Font, create a UN and PW, then click “Submit” to access the Scholarship Application.
2. The Submittal Deadline is March 1, 2024.
3. Applicants do not provide FAFSA information. Only Finalists provide FAFSA information.
